Superior all-purpose potato has bright purple to salmon-pink skin, creamy white flesh and a slightly sweet, buttery flavor that our testers rate higher than the popular Yukon potato! It's excellent for mashing and baking. Purple Viking has a long shelf life and good resistance to scab and leaf hopper. Like all potatoes, Purple Viking will photosynthesize if exposed to sunlight while in storage, so it's essential that you store them in a dark, dry location. Plant Purple Viking in a location with full sun and sandy, loamy soil. For best results, sow 12-15 inches apart, allowing a space of at least 30-36 inches between the rows. 60-80 days to maturity.Specifications
