Overview
The Red Russian Kale is a very colorful microgreen. Its dark green leaves are outlined in light purple and the stems vary in color from pink, purple to red. The greatest benefit of the microgreens is that they carry all the nutritional punch of the mature plant without the bitter taste. The microgreens, have a mild sweet flavor. When and where to plant: Broadcast sow in shallow containers year round in an indoor location with bright light. Supplemental bottom heat may aid germination. Care: Keep evenly moist by watering from the bottom and rotate the container for even light coverage if needed. Harvesting: Harvest as soon as the second set of leaves form by making a dean cut through the base of stems with sharp scissors. Storage: Store seed in cool, dry place.
